These days, most wine producing countries have a problem and Australia is no different. Millennials and Gen Z drink less wine then Gen X. They see it as being to pretentious and not that easy to drink so they go for beer or cocktails. Trying to get ahead of the situation, one of our clients, an Australian wine distributor asked us to tackle this problem by designing the packaging for a new line of products. Our approach was a bit more radical because it’s addressed to the younger generation and to a specific market in Australia where cans are not seen as a sign of cheap drinks.
